Alright, now simply insert SD and boot miner. 19 series requires SD to stay in for it to run, its not an install, its a "run-only"

You need to power the PIC with PICkit, feed the 3.3V the PIC expects. You do that by going to advanced mode/power. Make sure you plug the connectors on the right side, otherwise could physically break PIC.

Are you talking about these issues?
01:15
I'll start answering. The domain voltage can be measured only if the chips have the necessary tools and a protocol by which information can be obtained from them. L3+ does not have the same functionality as most other chips.
01:27
The temperature sensors used in the miners work on the i2c bus. Each chip has 2 things:
i2c to UART driver with its own protocol, so that the control board making requests over the UART bus could access the thermal sensor. Thus, if the signal was distorted or lost before the chip or in the chip itself, the thermal sensor will not be read.
Each chip contains a diode for connection to a thermal sensor, with which the temperature of the chip is measured.

01:29
Accordingly, we can conclude that no matter how sad it was, but it is impossible to get direct access to the temperature sensor.

So same as regular test fixture. Change chip 5 retest then change temp sensor if chip 5 change doesn’t fix issue.
What distinguishes your device from a regular test fixture other than the graphical representation of the chip and the WiFi connectivity?
Thanks.

If your tester just offer a gui then it’s not worth it for me, if there is more then I want to know so I can make a decision.
Why would I ask someone else other than the source or the seller about their product?

ARC tester provides power constantly and you can test points out longer vs constantly pressing test button and waiting for script to run. Although ARC can be little too sensitive sometimes and won't show ASICs while regular jig does
13:24
You need both. Time saved is Precious
13:29
Diagnosis and EEPROM fixes, ARC is very quick. I like Whatsminer one. I still use regular fixture as well paired with ARC.
As for Graphical representation, once you have lie 3 or more different ASICs flashing on whole board, happens, you'll be happy knowing that repair will be a lot longer

If the board is all functioning, it will start showing bad/weaker ASICs otherwise it will stop at an Asic and then you have to diagnose if its an ASIC or if it is LDO, cap, resistor etc. For L3, rule of thumb flash the PIC first. Then fixture test it. I do not know if it compares the hex file.
On ARC whatsminer it's nice that it will show eeprom info and required board voltage. Flashing eeprom either scan the QR code or type it in. I did have few instances the ARC did not recognize eeprom but the fixture did. That wad fixed with recent update i believe

Are you learning repairs on L3 boards? It is a good start, they are terrible at times.. once you learn on bad boards, others seem easier..

I would recommend both, the ARC is great, it shows you the chips and temp sensors, and their location on the board for quicker diagnostic and to locate the suspect chip
It does somewhat of an advanced test, but if you want to do a full pattern test, you will need to either use the regular fixture, or an age test.
The ARC you can test non stop, but for the l3s and s9s you can do that anyway
They both have their pros and cons
And they both are different tools for the arsenal

L3+ does not have an eeprom, the L3+ board stores settings in the PIC controller. We could implement PIC firmware, but unfortunately this does not work through the u2c bus, only through the ICSP bus, which PICKIT does an excellent job of.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to find faulty chips without measurements on the board, this is true for any tester and control board. It is generally impossible to find all the faulty chips in a given board architecture.

This means that there is a dump unrecognized by the tester in the eeprom of the board, which is similar to the Antminer DR series. It is also possible that the dump is corrupted.

Hey,
Could be many things.
Try to reverse your plug, so the end that you're always plugging into the Hashboards would be into the Tester.
Try to change the cable. You can use one of your actual miner.
Take a look on the I/O Port, make sure everything is nice, clean and straight.
Try to plug your cable a bit faster. It needs to be plugged straight, without wiggling and without hesitation. It should be plugged within half a second.
Try to reflash EEPROM. If you cannot with ARC tester, use a Pickit3 if you got one.

Do not forget to restart/factory reset and reconfigure the ARC tester. After all that, if it's not working, you could have defect ARC Tester, defect into some part on the board
20:13
And if in any case you indeed have a Defect ARC tester, this might help to try a repair

Hey George
Temp sensors are independent from the chips on S19, so it's normal they're working without chips
If you got all your values, good ldo, and good Booster, try to change around I/O port
Check around U1-U2-U3 and the resistors/capacitors
If you got spare parts, just change them
