the bitrate cannot be changed and it does not make sense, since changing it will not change anything. I advise you to put the board in the freezer, cool it down and run the test, it often helps to identify such defects.

different materials have different expansion during heating and cooling, this gives you the opportunity to find a soldering defect or a chip defect.

How do you get the temp sensor to show on the tester? That seems to come and go more than anything.
14:30
But honestly I have found that if a board works on and off i can typically locate a missing resistor or capacitor (the small thingys) somewhere and that typically does the trick.

But on my other note, I have only seen the temp sensors pop up when I tested a S19JPro

Agreed, however fixing temp sensors has been a growing issue with me also, and I have recently been trying to dig around and experiment. Was there a chip replaced or a heatsink replaced around either of those sensors?
14:37
These are on the back of the board, exactly where that tester shows. Most of the time a fully hashing board with temp sensor errors is caused by a break in the connection in one of the traces around that chip. To the best of my knowledge at least

It’s just a new functionality rather than a problem, this flashing indicates that chip temp has big difference related to the board temp

My issue with the temperature sensors is that I can only tell if it's an issue when the board is inside a miner and I go through the logs, I don't know how to use a testing tool (whether is this one or the unviersal testing jig from bitmain) to accurately test temperature sensors, and information about it is hard to find. let me know if you find any useful info about it

Hello guys i hope everyone is well. I am trying to fix a M20s machine from whatsminer right now. It says "RST fail" and "check power". I measured the DC input and it is fine. Does anyone know how to solve this ?? Thank you !!
16:22
Guys, I fixed the temp sensors issues by heating up the board sometimes. They are a royal pain in the back side. Did you guys that the fixture can only find some or all chips after the input current is around or exceeding 5As ??
16:23
But a lot of people saying that it is the chip that surrounds the temp sensor is the cause of such problem, not necessarily the temp sensor itself.

This happen mostly on t17 and s17 , if you used an asic different from the board Level it can trigger this and secondly check temp sensor 2 and 3 cos if the sensors didn’t respond right some of the ASIC chips will pop up as defective

Ok i looks like I found something out for a s17+ What i experience with the dichotopy method is that when the chain stops the 5 chips after the stopped chain can al be part of the problem. Is that right? So in my example the chain work to chip 50 en stopped at chip 51 reflowing chip 51 but didn’t solve the problem. Reflowing the complete domain 51–55 solved it. Can someone confirm this?
